The End is (Knot) The End

Upholstery Fabric, satin cord & tassle, monofilament, S-hooks.

A material critique of eternity as a set of design credentials. Alternately titled “The End is Not The End” and “Temple Worship” this piece examines décor as a way of establishing a holy environment, and along with it, the promise of eternity in exchange for orthodox obedience. Frequently this extremism yields exclusion, especially of LGBTQIA+, women, and others, resulting in a parameter around eternity.
